INSULATING FABRIC TYGASIL

TYGASIL insulating fabric with a special treatment, that allows it to retain its properties up to a temperature of 950 °C. Full description

TYGASIL insulation is made of glass yarns and then chemically treated to a fabric 98% consisting of silica, which makes the fabric flexible even at the maximum recommended temperature of 950 °C.

TYGASIL insulation fabric is the ideal alternative to ceramic fibre (RCF) and mineral wool! TYGASIL fabric is suitable as a universal insulation for preheating and annealing processes on pipes, apparatus, annealing furnaces, etc.

It is installed on the workpiece by wrapping in the required insulation thickness and fixed against slipping with a high temperature resistant stainless steel tape. In contrast to ceramic fibre and mineral wool, TYGASIL can be used repeatedly and also allows optimum user handling.

Independent tests on knitted TYGASIL insulation have shown that it does not release any respirable fractions after exposure to a temperature of 1000 °C for 24 hours.

TYGASIL insulation fabric can be supplied in widths of 300 and 610 mm in various lengths. The thickness of the fabric is 12 mm.
